Our Mission

Our mission is to build an exceptional and well-crafted home that reflects your vision in every way. Over many years, we have consistently achieved this goal by working closely with our clients, building relationships that span years and sometimes generations. Our building process values purposeful design, meticulous project management, and precisely executed details. Most importantly, we enjoy what we do, and if you build with us, you will too.

Our Process

The first step in our process is a meeting with you. We discuss your wish list, your must-haves, your schedule, and your budget. After getting to know you, we can assemble the project leads, architects and designers (ours or yours), tradesmen, and suppliers best suited to your personality and the unique demands of your project. This team will work with you to value-engineer your project, maximizing the features you want that can be done the right way within your budget.

We guide you through design, selections, and construction with a streamlined, easy to understand process. You’ll know what decisions you need to make and when you need to make them. We always keep you in the loop with regular progress reports and site meetings. This makes for an enjoyable homebuilding experience that minimizes the stress and complications that are typical to so many construction projects.

Our project managers are instrumental to our success and they have extensive professional experience working in key construction trades. As a result, they can provide quality control and insight that those with less hands on experience can offer.

Our Experience

Our work has been recognized for craftsmanship and design on local and national levels. We have been featured in Remodeling Magazine, R Home Magazine, and the Richmond Times-Dispatch. We have appeared on the Remodeling 500 List and John has served as a panelist at their annual conference. Most recently, we received the Home Building Association of Richmond’s 2019 RARE Award for Best Kitchen over $100,000.

John’s past projects have been featured in Southern Living, Traditional Homes, and the Virginia Historical Garden Tour. One of John’s development projects, Carrington Court, received the annual Preservation Merit Award from Henrico County. John also played a key role in the development and construction of Maple Green in Richmond’s Near West End.
